Artist & Photographer: Catherine Goron

For me, photography is the practice of cultivating a creative life, paying close attention and seeking out poetry in the everyday. Photography is really a kind of reverence for the now. I strive to make pictures that convey a sense of nostalgia and beauty and timelessness; ultimately, I hope my pictures cause you, the viewer, to stop and linger...

A bit of background: I was born in the Philippines and grew up in the Washington, DC area, and today am a Photographer based in Seattle, WA. About four years ago, I moved from Paris, France where I was fortunate to be living and exploring Europe with my husband and our two boys.

To view my collections, please visit the Ocean Sky Lab Gallery Shop online or visit me in-person at markets and pop-ups in Seattle (updated market schedule coming soon or check out @oceanskylab on Instagram for the latest dates). I hope we can connect in person some time...

For all of you who have shared your stories about my photographs and/or purchased my prints and paper goods, thank you for supporting my art... I'm so humbled and grateful to know my work connects with you in some way. It helps me remember that making art adds value to the world, that it matters.

Today, my work is displayed on walls across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.

“There is not a particle of life which does not bear poetry within it.” -Gustave Flaubert
